This design was inspired by our family's favorite beach at the Jersey shore, Stone Harbor. With three distinct stitch patterns, each reflects a part of the beach:
Garter sections -> the sandy beach
Lacy diagonals sections -> the tides rolling in
Eyelet sections -> the shell dotted shoreline after low tide
Made in fingering weight yarn, this exaggeratedly long scarf can be wrapped around multiple times for added warmth or worn loosely as a statement piece. Tassels complete this fun piece and add a bit of fun to your wardrobe. A scarf made of fingering weight yarn is a time commitment but once complete, you will understand the luxury that is a lightweight but warm piece!
This pattern features standard knitting terms, pattern notes and both written and charted guides to help you along the way. It is intended for those familiar with the basics of knitting and thus, not meant to be a tutorial.
